Bikini Selection

Brief
Vienna-based DJ Bikini Selection was looking to create a vibrant identity for his 60s Jazz to 80s Hip-Hop inspired style.

Solution
Taking visual cues from 80s VHS tapes and polaroid color strips - the identity invokes a flashback to cassette mixtapes and vinyls. Simple yet modular - the system allows for constant new configurations and applications. Serving as a frame work - a vessel - always ready to be filled with new music experiences.

Pairing primary colors with 4 distinctive circular shapes to act as a symbol for CDs and vinyl records. This way - even when interacting with the identity “of record” - the image of vinyls & CDs stays prevalent.
